During this time your bowels should move very freely. Towards the end of the 5 days you should be producing ‘floaters’ not ‘sinkers’. You will see the difference. An occasional herbal laxative will help too.
Drink hot water when you first wake up and then more water copiously during the day.
Do not spoil the effect by having starch, oil, protein sugar, tea or coffee. Be strict in your springclean! Choose and try one of the above, but follow it faithfully. It will be a challenge!
All parts are affected by the cleansing process using God’s simple remedies.
Physical. The body begins to recuperate and revive.
Mental. Your thoughts will be clearer, moods lighter.
Spiritual. You will become more sensitive and aware.
Moral. Your will power will actually be strengthened.
The result - your life will not be running out of control. And that is a good feeling!
A THOUGHT TO REFLECT ON. What about a another kind of spring clean? We all carry so much mental baggage – what people have said; what they have done; the hurts and the disappointments. We are actually only hurting ourselves physically and mentally by this. It does not affect them at all! And it does not achieve anything positive for us. Then there are the wrong things we know we keep doing, and keep resolving not to do again. These ‘foreign bodies’ actually cause stress and damage our health, just as much as the chemicals and pollutants. Everyone has a difficulties in life and bad times and bad experiences, but in the same way we all have the power to choose.
Choose to hang on to it all and your quality of life will be nothing.
Choose to leave it in yesterday and live for today, saying ‘no’ to the thoughts of yesterday will give you a better day—creative, content, and at peace. Why not talk to God? He is there for you. Tell Him all that has happened, and all that you feel. Ask Him to help you move on.
This is what is called prayer.
Why not decide today to leave the past? Make a clean breast to God of your anger and disappointments, failures and sins and leave them with Him. He has said that He will have compassion on us and put our sins in the depths of the sea. ( Do not go sea-fishing at a later date!)
End Piece:
‘Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.’ 2 Corinthians 7:1
‘If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.’ 1 John 1:9.
It is wonderful to be clean and free. Will you try it?
