HERE IS THE NATURAL DETOXIFICATION PROGRAMME

You can choose between a two-day and a five-day option. You will know yourself how clogged up you are.

THE TWO-DAY OPTION:

  • Friday night. On going to bed, take a herbal laxative and settle down with the tingly thought that, even if you are very low, you are beginning a programme which will make you brighter than you have felt for a long time.
  • Saturday and Sunday will be a fruit fast.

Choose one fruit type for each day. (Easier for the body to work with) Fresh raw apples and grapes are good choices. You may have 4-5 meals as fruit digests quickly, but be sure to leave a gap between meals to give your body resting time too. Eat as much as you wish at each meal. Use different varieties and colours, eat them as they are, cut them up, use attractive plates and enjoy!
(On these 2 days, do not eat anything else at all or you spoil the chemical cleansing reactions in your body. Also do not drink anything else except plain water, but you can have any of the different plain or sparkling waters as well as tap water. They all have different tastes.)
On Saturday night, take another herbal laxative to assist the process.

This sounds simple, but it is a very powerful way of cleansing the system (and cheap too). The powerfulness of it may take you by surprise. Fruit works strongly to cleanse the body. As a result, wastes are stirred up and you may feel aching or irritable. There may be fleeting pains in your joints and strangely varying moods. It helps if you understand what is happening. The reaction level is related to the amount of waste stored in your body, but also to having no caffeine, perhaps? (Try not to take painkillers to ease things.)

HOW TO HELP THE 5 CLEANSING ORGANS
Liver This organ is most active in the morning and is boosted by the fresh fruit we eat.
Kidneys and the bowels - You need to drink at least 1.5 litres of water during the day between your meals.
Skin Try skin-brushing. Brush your arms and legs towards the heart and brush your body in circular motions avoiding sensitive areas. The skin only releases its wastes when it is moist and warm so, to make this more effective, take a shower afterwards. When your body is wet, have a salt rub, using cooking salt on a rough cloth, rubbing gently and quickly over your skin. It is good to finish your shower by turning the water to cool for a few seconds to stimulate both your skin and your immune system further. At the end of the day try a relaxing bath. Adding 3 cups of Epsom salts from the chemist makes a powerful cleansing bath to use once or twice a week. Finish with cool water on the flannel for a quick rub over, and dry vigorously.
Lungs. A gentle walk is good. In the fresh air, practise deep breathing - in through your nose and out through your mouth, about ten times. This will bring more oxygen into your body to speed up the work being done.
The wastes will be exhaled as you breathe out. If you smoke, this will not be so effective. Could this be the time when you might want to make the decision about becoming a non-smoker to restore your lungs?

THE FIVE-DAY OPTION:
This is not a fast, but an ‘eating detoxification’. It works equally well, and either fast can be used as a preparation for your new beginning. Use the same principles for cleansing the kidneys, bowels, liver, skin and lungs.
For 5 days eat only fruit and vegetables. You can eat as much as you wish, with three VERY LARGE meals.
For Breakfast eats lots of citrus fruit– a grapefruit, 3-4 oranges, then raw apples, pears, grapes or whatever is in season (but not banana – it spoils the effect).
For Lunch have a salad each day, varying the vegetables
and appearance. Make it generous. It is not a side dish! Toss it, arrange it, mix it, grate it, slice it, cube it, make tomato waterlilies. Make it attractive.
For Dinner steam different vegetables (but not potatoes, corn, parsnips or beets. They are starchy and will undo the good you are doing.) Use green beans, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, celery, spinach, mild spring onions, carrots, parsley, tomatoes, with a side salad
