Trust in God

The hope perspective

If there is a God why does he allow suffering?

  • 7th. When did it begin? The Sabbath was given at the creation of all things. God took 6 days to create the world, and on the seventh day He rested as an example, then blessed it, set it apart and made it holy for all the human race for all time. When it was included in the Ten Commandments it was just a reminder - Remember - about something that was already known and observed. It was apt that He used the word remember, as today almost everyone has forgotten the gift of the seventh day Sabbath today at creation, and instead, works to the point of exhaustion.
  • 7th The paradox is that if we obey the moral law (the Ten Commandments—about right and wrong) that God has given us, we will have true physical blessings and increased health. Over and over again it can be seen, how all the parts of our lives are interrelated and this is no exception. The seventh day is essential to us all.
  • 7th Creation not evolution. On the seventh day Sabbath we can think of God and how he made our world. This is turn heightens our appreciation of the beauty of nature aroud us. It is a complete day of rest and a support to us in the stresses and anxieties of our lives. It is a gift from God for the very best kind of life with health and hope and optimism, that rounds off a week of living His healthy lifestyle. Activity produces body waste and fatigue; rest restores energy and hope. We have not happened by chance, but by the planning of a good Creator, who knows us.
END WORDS
“Oh, that there were such an heart in them that they that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!” Deuteronomy 6:29.

“Thus the heavens and the earth were finished and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because that in it He had rested from all His work which God had made.” Genesis 2:1-3

“Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour and do all thy work but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy man servant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.” Exodus 20:8-11

“And He [Jesus] said unto them, The Sabbath was made for man.” Mark 2:27,28

“Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life.” Revelation 22:14.
